Collaborating with site leadership to ensure project success and profitability
You ensure a single project progresses according to schedule and plan. You coordinate with vendors to ensure materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time and ensure the project is effectively staffed with site leadership and local labor to meet the unique needs of the site. You collaborate with leaders and the site team to adapt plans as the project evolves, deliver positive safety results, use tools to drive accountability, and provide clarity and alignment consistently over the life of the project.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Your top priority is to ensure your project is completed safely, on time and at (or under) budget.
- Leverage critical thinking to proactively deliver results on a project
- Drive project development through onsite teams daily using company polices and planning tools
- Communicate project and staffing needs to leadership as you encounter challenges
- Deliver safety results by following union regulations, best practices and enforcing company standards
- Collaborate with your direct supervisor on all aspects of the project to meet timelines and budget
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
- Review project site conditions with direct supervisor to ensure project is ready for mobilization
- Take ownership of onsite safety culture and compliance
Leadership
- Own development and promotion for site leadership that reports to you
- Lead project the start-up process for your jobsite
Critical Thinking
- Participate in scheduling and sequencing on the project
- Complete operational reviews for each project
- Own field labor tracking results for the project
Communication
- Communicate information clearly, concisely and on time
- Drive adherence to company best practices
- Maintain timelines
Quality Control
- Own daily walk-thru’s of field and shop work
- Lead the process to close out project during completion
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, a related degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related field experience in project management, engineering, or with a curtain wall subcontractor or manufacturer; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field supervisory role
- Will need to join or be a member of a glazier union
