Job description

Rapidly growing medium sized glazing company is looking for a talented, motivated, and willing estimator with preferred experience in construction/design build/plan reading/budget estimation. You will have a direct impact in the growth of this company and will be on a team in charge of hunting down work for the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead prospecting (finding new opportunities)

• Plan reading/ quantity takeoffs

• Excel spreadsheets

• Generate proposals

• Professional communication

• Price negotiation

• Value engineering

• Problem solving

• Creating job files for Field Install Team (organize digital file with google drive, pdf plan consolidation and organization, budget sheet generation)

• Attend job walks and site visits

• Field measurement

• Vendor Calls

• Cold call new customers

• Team weekly meetings

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six months to one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts

• Commitment to excellence and high standards

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

• Acute attention to detail

• Proficient on computer

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $45.00 per hour
