We are seeking an experienced commercial glazing project manager specializing in fabrication and installation of curtain wall and store front projects. Must have project experience with construction work in both a competitive bid and negotiated method in commercial ground up and tenant improvement applications. As Commercial Glazing Project Manager, you will use your prior experience and specific knowledge of glazing and installation in the commercial construction business. You will hone your management skills, and ability to work within a team. You will focus your detail- oriented nature to help the Slade Glass team to work at a faster than average pace.

Primary Duties

1. Manage all details of commercial glazing projects—from cradle to grave—in accordance with bid procedures for both negotiated and hard bid projects.

2. Collaborate with other project managers and our project coordinator to monitor, assist, critique, and help manage other projects, if required, for any commercial project.

3. Participate in start-up, closeout, and weekly commercial project meetings.

4. Develop successful relationships with general contractor customers, vendors, and internal team members.

  • Manages commercial glazing projects in accordance with company estimating practices, tools, and techniques to include:
    • Creating and managing project folders in both physical and digital form.
    • Using project management tools/techniques to monitor and control all aspects of assigned projects.
    • Organizing specifications per job scope for estimate.
    • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to prepare project documents needed for invitation for bid.
    • Computing project costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements; preparing project cost estimate and bid for Projects.
    • Conducting site visits as needed.
    • Overseeing the ordering of material, supplies, and equipment needed to perform work.
    • Preparing cover letters and bid proposals, including the cost breakdown, clarifications, scope, and exclusions.
    • Managing scopes of work and subcontract change orders.
    • Attending and representing the company at different contractor meetings as directed by management.
    • Monitoring and managing cost, schedule, and performance of awarded contracts.
    • Preparing lessons learned for all phases of projects worked.
  • Communicating issues with the Managers as soon as they arise.
  • Supporting a team environment; thinking “big picture” and taking into account long- term implications while constantly analyzing ways to improve performance, products, and services.

  • 3+ years commercial construction project management experience; glazing experience preferred.
  • Independent worker who can effectively collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Skilled in reading construction blueprints, technical specifications, etc.
  • Ability to visualize from blueprints, or drawings, the finished product for take-off and estimate.
  • Ability to adjust to changing business needs and to work in an environment with variable demands and periods of high-volume work.
  • Skilled in use of Outlook, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Teams, Zoom preferred
  • Great communication skills within and outside the company.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • Pay commensurate with experience, expertise and qualifications as outlined.

  • Project Management Professional certification desired
  • Commercial estimating certification preferred

TRAVEL & LOCATION: Travel to job sites is required 30-percent of the time as a driver in company vehicles. No overnight travel is required, and actual travel times will vary depending on job site location. Location of employment is in Boulder, CO. Some work from home is possible at the discretion of the management team.
